Building on linear

Scrolling through a list of channels, the user would select a programme - which would call up a list of other options: watch live, record, series record, search for more, or jump to online.
Integrating on-demand
The image below shows what the application section might look like.
As an open platform, any web-enabled service could build an application to feature on the platform.
The platform itself would not serve as a gatekeeper - meaning access is subject only to meeting the standards and specification.
On selecting an application, the user would move into an on-demand world, controlled by the third party. The below image, supplied with permission from lovefilm.com is an example of what an on-demand film application might look like.
