Project Canvas partners confirm senior appointments
The Project Canvas partners today announce that the positions of Chief Technology Officer and Director of Marketing will be filled by Anthony Rose and Tim Hunt respectively. These positions are made on an interim basis until the formation of the joint venture which is currently subject to approval by the BBC Trust.
Anthony joins the Canvas team from the BBC where he is currently Future Media Controller, Vision and Online Media Group. Prior to that he was Head of Digital Media Technology at the BBC, responsible for delivering BBC iPlayer and creating a unified embedded media experience across its online properties. He joined the BBC from music download service Kazaa/Altnet where he was Chief Technology Officer.
Tim Hunt is currently Director of Marketing and Communications for Freeview. Prior to that he was the Marketing Director at Project Kangaroo, launched Sky Italia as Marketing Director and prior to that was Managing Director of creative ad agency St Lukes.
Project Director Richard Halton said: ‘It’s great to welcome two such experienced individuals to the project. They both bring key skills and expertise in their fields that allow us to begin the next phase of Project Canvas as we await the outcome of the regulatory process.’
